Paper Smooches sparks COOL SHADES Challenge

Whaa...? Two posts in one day after a three month absence? YES! I cannot believe it either! I made time for crafting and made the best of it! For this card, I utilized a stamp kit, simply called Travel Kit that I bought back in April, needless to say, this is the first action this stamp kit has seen, but definately not the last! It is so stinkin' cute, as are all of Paper Smooches stamps. I simply cannot resist PS stamps!
Anyway, onto my card. This is for The Paper Smooches Sparks COOL SHADES color challenge. I used My Mind's Eye Dilly Dally dp and coordinating cardstock. The printed twill tape is one of the awesome accent pieces included with the PS Travel Kit.
Thank you so much for stopping by! I would love to hear what you think of my card, and comeback to the crafting blogging world! Lets hope I can keep it up!

Stamps: PS Get Outta Town
Paper: MME Dilly Dally dp, kraft, coordinating cs
Ink: Momento Tuxedo Black

Clearly Inspired Challenge #32 -- Color Challenge --

Hello Friends! We find ourselves smack dab in the middle of July, which means alot of HOT weather, and the next installment of the Clearly Inspired Challenge! This time, its a color challenge...

It used to be that all I did was color challenges.. couldnt hardly do anything else. Now, its been awhile since my last color challenge, and it was tough! I love the colors that my BFF, Cassie, chose to challenge us with, but this was really hard for me! AHA! That's why its called a Challenge!! HEHE!!

These colors remind me of the outdoors, especially the Pacific Northwest, where I grew up, so that is why I reached for one of my favorite stamp sets, A Walk in the Park, a former CDS Stamp of the Month. I used my sponge daubers to add the 'grass' and 'sky' using my CDS hybrid inks matching the color challenge. If you dont have these exact colors, just try to get as close as you can.

Now onto the details of the Clearly Inspired Challenge!

Having Child-like Faith ... Stampin Sisters in Christ Luke 18:17

Good Monday Morning friends! It has been and still is very windy here in El Paso! So windy that any outdoor plans we had were cancelled and we stayed inside... Which meant I had some good quality time in my craft room! Today I played along with three challenges! The first being Stampin Sisters in Christ, who's challenge is to make "a card for a child "inspired by Luke 18:17. Also, this week,SSIC's sponsor is Clear Dollar Stamps! The second challenge is The Sweet Stop's sketch. I just thought it lent so well to the papers I chose to go with my CDS bitty bots robot! Not to mention that I love sketch challenges ...
The third challenge is at Wee Memories, its a color challenge, no specific colors, just use "colors that inspire you". I love using shades of blue and shades of red together. This has to be one of my favorite color combinations. I love how they play off each other, so cheerful and fun!

Thanks for stopping by! I love to read your comments! :o)

I pictured the sketch turning out better than it did, but I dont hate it, so I am posting it anyway. The colors for Color Throwdown are: Pink, Olive and Grey. One of my favorite color combos!

Hi! Thanks for stopping by my blog! Seems the trend for this week is GREEN, in 'honor' of St. Patrick's Day. Good thing I like a good green! This card is one that kind of had a mind of its own, and after some head-scratching, I am happy with how it turned out. Turns out, it qualifies for three challenges! First is the sketch at the Our Creative Corner Sketch Blog. I did end up omiting two minor details of the sketch, but I just could not bring myself to cover up that neat Material Girl dp any more than I absolutely had to! The second is Raise the Bar #9, "Go Green", and the third, Stamp Something's "Cream & Green".
I so appreciate your visit! Thank you!

Taylored Expressions # 103 and Color Throwdown#82

Hello! Happy Sunday! Today has been a gorgeous sunny and warm day in the desert southwest! After church, I enjoyed my day redesigning and replanting one of my flowerbeds.  I actually made this card last night and since the sun is setting behind the Franklin Mountains, I will take some time and sit down and post this card. I made this card with two challenges in mind. The first, the Color Throwdown #82 challenge, which is to use Not Quite Navy, Ruby Red, Old Olive and Very Vanilla.  I just love these colors together! It just might be the best of the earth elements color family! The second challenge is the sketch over at Taylored Expressions. I am not sure if a taylored expressions stamp is required but, since I only (as of now) have one Taylored Expressions stamp and I have used it kind of alot lately, I decided to just participate anyway using one of  Clear Dollar Stamps March new releases.
I paper pieced Charliene's robe twice actually, once for the ruby red trim, and another time for the robe itself. Oh yeah, not to forget the bunny slippers! They are paper pieced as well.
Thanks so much for stopping by today!
