Instant Human, Just add Coffee! Three challenges in One!

Hi! Thanks for stopping by my blog! Seems the trend for this week is GREEN, in 'honor' of St. Patrick's Day. Good thing I like a good green! This card is one that kind of had a mind of its own, and after some head-scratching, I am happy with how it turned out. Turns out, it qualifies for three challenges! First is the sketch at the Our Creative Corner Sketch Blog. I did end up omiting two minor details of the sketch, but I just could not bring myself to cover up that neat Material Girl dp any more than I absolutely had to! The second is Raise the Bar #9, "Go Green", and the third, Stamp Something's "Cream & Green".
I so appreciate your visit! Thank you!

Details:
Stamps: Instant Human (skipping stones designs)
Paper: Very Vanilla, Only Orange, Cosmo Cricket Material Girl dp
Ink: Momento Tuxedo Black
Coloring Medium: Prismacolors
Technique: Paper Piecing (robe)

Some stuff I made today ..

Hi Everyone! Today, I am a bit stircrazy .. trying to keep busy. Ya see, tomorrow, my husband is supposed to be boarding a plane and coming home for a 2 week visit. He probably wont arrive until Monday, and since it has been 7 1/2 months since we have seen my husband, we need to keep ourselves busy so this weekend doesnt creep by any slower than it already has....

So, today, I decided to break out my new Cosmo Cricket and Basic Grey dps along with these neat chipboard adhesivables (is that a real word?) and make some fun cards.

The top card was inspired by the sketch at Card Patterns, although, I did not end up following the sketch very well, and for the bottom card, I used the sketch from the Thursday Our Creative Corner sketch challenge SASSC45 . Thank you so much for stopping by my blog today!

OCCC Sketch Challenge SASSC44

Hello friends! Happy Sunday evening to you all. I have such a busy week ahead and I really wanted to play along for this week's Stamps and Smiles Sketch Challenge at Our Creative Corner, so I got to work this evening and, turns out, I am pretty happy with the results! I was determined to avoid making another Christmas / holiday card, even though looking over the sketch, that is exactly what first came to mind. So, after looking through my stamps, I was inspired to use the Beautiful Butterflies stamp set from (my favorite store) Clear Dollar Stamps, along with my new paper collection, Cosmo Cricket Early Bird dp, which I also got at Clear Dollar Stamps. Thank you so much for stopping by my blog and for any comments you chose to leave!

OCCC Sketch Challenge SASSC41 Winter Wishes

This week at Our Creative Corner's Sweet and Sassy Sketch Challenge they have an awesome and challenging sketch to inspire us. Its not called a challenge for nothin' right? If you look back at some of my recent posts, I really like these little snowmen, I just might love them. After studying the sketch a little bit, I knew I wanted to use this awesome Night of Navy dsp, it reminds me of snow falling from a dark afternoon sky. Then came the snowman family, Mom & Dad outside and the little guy standing in the doorway with their Christmas tree in the background. I had alot of fun with this sketch, I hope you can find time to play along too!

OCCC Sketch Challenge SASSC40

Happy Thursday! I have just recently discovered the Sweet and Sassy Sketch Challenge at Our Creative Corner. And they are having a DT call! All you have to do is participate during November, and they will choose on Dec 1st. Its fun to "try out"! So come on and join me! Click on Sweet and Sassy Sketch Challenge to find out more!
Today, when I studied this week's sketch, this cute little nutcracker came to mind. Perfect! He is tall and skinny, just like the panels shown in the sketch. I have also been veering toward the CAS card lately, even though there are several layers, it is simple and clean lined. huh..
Oooh, I just noticed my modern label "enjoy the Season" is crooked, I just checked it and it didnt stick to the ribbon very well, and it fell during picture taking! So please excuse that mishap! It is entirely too much work to go back and change out the picture! LOL ..
Enough chit chat, here are the Details:
Stamps: Holiday Nutcracker (CDStamps)
Paper: Real Red, Garden Green, Very Vanilla, Merry Moments dsp
Ink: Garden Green, Real Red, Soft Suede, Basic Grey
Tools/Accessories: Modern Label Punch, Word Window, sponge,
large vanilla brads, Blender Pen, Real Red wide (polka dot) ribbon
Thanks for stopping by my blog! All comments appreciated and cherished!
