Hello Friends! Welcome to Thursday, the gateway to the weekend ... my weekend promises to be exciting .. a trip to the commissary and trying out a new church. And hopefully, I will get to do some more crafting!
Today I am happy to share this card that I made for this week's Sweet Sketch Wednesday challenge. I absolutely LOVE the sweet sketch wednesday blog and all the ladies on their DT. If you havent checked them out, you definately need to!
I was inspired by this MME Dilly Dally DP and this stamp set, Well Read WTG from My Favorite Things. I would love a couch with this print in my home! Of course, my husband would rather a couch of this awesomeness be in a study or, well, anywhere not in the living room.. haha.. And relaxing with a good book (on my kindle) is exactly what I want to be doing this weekend.
Thank you so much for stopping by and thank you again for your lovely comments, they really do make my day!
Supplies:
Stamps: Well Read WTG - my favorite things stamps
Paper: MME Dilly Dally, TE coordinating cardstock
Ink: Momento Tuxedo Black
Tools/Accessories: TE coordinating ribbon, Rolled daily die (mft), TE coordinating brad, Copics

Hello Friends! Happy Weekend! So this is my third card and third blog post on my crafting "come-back trail" and it feels pretty good! I, as all of you do, love papercrafting. I really missed it so much during those long months of absence. I am back looking for fun challenges to participate in trying to get my followers / commenters up.
Today, I made this card for one of my all-time favorite challenge blogs, Sweet Sketch Wednesday's sketch #163. The ladies over there are always so sweet in their comments and how they share a little about their part of the world. Also, the design team is always so inspirational!
I chose to ink up this adorable stamp set from Taylored Expressions, called Sky's The Limit, which just happens to come with a coordinating Taylored Die set.
Thank you so much for stopping by my blog! I hope you like what you see, and I hope you stop by again soon! I (hope) plan to have more to share very soon!
I have yet to figure out the new way everyone is sharing their supply list .. Inlinkz .. I need my BFF, Cassie to show me what to do! So, I will list my supplies the old fashioned way .. (sheeish I feel old)

Sweet Sketch Wednesday # 143, CIC # 47 & TPE 138
Hello Friends! Yesterday, I had the wonderful pleasure of crafting. It used to be I could find time to craft pretty much every day ... but because of some recent and wonderful changes in our family, my crafting time has become unpredictable, sporatic and cherished.
I made three cards for three different challenges yesterday, and (sigh) it was great. This one is for Sweet Sketch Wednesday. A big Thank You goes out to the gals at Sweet Sketch Wednesday blog for reverting back to the old challenge rules. Thank You! This card qualifies for Clear Dollar Stamps' Clearly Inspired Challenge #47, which is one of my fav's : Anything Goes. And also for The Pink Elephant #138, challenge "Lets see those layers" -- at least 3 layers, and at my count, this card has a whopping 7!
I am particually happy with my coloring here, it kind of suprised me how it turned out! I was trying to emulate one of the flowers on the BG Picadilly dp, and even though the colors didnt turn out as I pictured in my mind, I am happy with it all the same.

Anyway ... I made this card for Sweet Sketch Wednesday #126. Also, at Paper Smooches, Kim is looking for Christmas cards, so that is why I was inspired to ink up my Paper Smooches' Santa Paws set. I (heart) Paper Smooches' images! Also, although this card may not be so "CAS" I will throw it in the mix at CAS-ual Fridays where they are asking for a design element to go 'over the edge'. I did it creations is calling for Christmas, The Crafty Pad is calling for Paper Piecing ( I paper pieced Santa's suit), and The Ribbon Girl is also calling for Christmas cards.

Friday Mash-Up #23 with Sweet Sketch Wednesday #118
Hello Friends! Happy Friday! Today I have this adorable schoolbus card to share with you! I made it with two of my favorite challenges in mind, the first being Sweet Sketch Wednesday, and the second is The Friday Mash-up. This week, Friday Mashup's challenge, " itching to be stitching" is to add faux or real stitching to our cards, or, to make a school themed card, OR, to mash it up and do both! Well, I LOVE the look of stitching, but I did not have the patience or time to do it today, but I did use my "sew easy" thread as embellishment! And with all the kiddos back to school, it was fun to ink up "My Little Schoolbus" from Clear Dollar Stamps.
Thank you so much for stopping by! I value your visit and comments dearly!

It's a Happy Day with Sweet Sketch Wednesday & Echo Park!
Hello Friends! Happy Monday! Ok, so I am one of those that is happy when Monday arrives. With my DH deployed, weekends can be a bit of a depressing snooze-fest. Not that we are actually sleeping, but I am sure you get the picture. So, I am glad Monday has arrived, and I hope everyone who had to endure hurricane Irene over the weekend has come out fairly unscathed....
Anyway, on to today's card.... I am very happy with this one! It cheers me up just lookin' at it! My BFF, Cassie, sent me this adorable TE stamp set called Downtown Diva which coordinated so well with the retro Echo Park dp - Happy Days. It reminds me of the old soda fountain in the little town we lived in when I was in 4th & 5th grades. I loved riding my bike there in the summer for a treat.
The sketch is from Sweet Sketch Wednesday .. how perfect for a "Sweet" card like this one! ( sweet shoppe.. sentiment- you're so sweet ... hehe ) I would love to hear what you think! Thank you so much for stopping by!! I hope you have a great week ahead. :o)

August Sparks challenge & Sweet Sketch Wednesday #114
Hello friends! Welcome to Thursday. Today started out with the welcome sound of raindrops hitting my skylights. Around here, rain is an exciting event! Anyway, my BFF, Cassie's daughter is celebrating her 10th birthday next week, and I made this card especially for her. Sweet Sketch Wednesday provided the inspirational sketch, and Paper Smooches' Sparks Challenge provided the rest of the inspiration with the colors and elements such as flowers, distressing, pearls and textures. I saw this idea to turn the santa paws doggie into a b-day dog on the Paper Smooches blog, I wish I were this clever on my own! It is actually one of the main reasons I decided to buy this stamp set! It is so versatile, not just for Christmas!

Sweet Sketch Wednesday #98 with some BFF RAK
Hello Friends! This last week has been a bumpy one, ups and downs ups and downs. Thankfully, one of those 'ups' was a RAK package that I got from my BFF, Cassie. She sent me this awesome MFT WTG set called Who's that Harvesting Girl.. YAY! I just had to make her a Thank You card with the set she gave me. I followed this week's sketch at Sweet Sketch Wednesday, they are on #98 already! I hear they are doing it up for their 100th!
I got to do something new today! I have admired all the beautiful stitching I see all over blogland.. and I have wanted to try it for myself! I came across (what looked like a) neat stitching tool, but it didnt work out, SO... I remembered my old SU tool set, and I used my paper piercer and the hole guide and punched all those holes out and then stitched my floss thru each and every hole. I like how it turned out, but it was alot of work, and time consuming! I bet next time it will go faster because it wont be my first time.

Sweet Sketch Wednesday #93 Just under the wire!
Goodness it seems like things have been hectic here this week! Spring break started a few days later than scheduled because of the "big ice storm of 2011" here in El Paso... better to make up the days now than at the end of the school year! Then on out first full day of spring break, my seven year old son decided it would be fun to balance on the edge of the wet bathtub .. of course he fell, cutting his head open, and he and I spent 8 hours (at night) at the hospital getting staples in his head. He was a trooper, even sleep deprived and in pain as he was, he had time to give me a hug. He is the inspiration, along with the sketch at Sweet Sketch Wednesday, for this card.

Sweet Sketch Wednesday #92
Hello Friends! Happy Saturday! Spring has definately arrived here in the desert Southwest, trees are blooming, bulbs are peeking out from the soil, I just love the renewal of spring. However, I do not really like loosing an hour when we change our clocks ahead -- tonight -- ugh
Anyway, onto this morning's card. I made this one for Sketch #92 at Sweet Sketch Wednesday. The ric-rak shape on the sketch really caught my eye. I ended up with a double monochromatic theme. I really love this shade of blue, and the pink just seemed a logical choice. I like that the rose is polka-dotted. Wouldnt it be fun to grow polka-dotted flowers?
Clear Dollar Stamps makes these flowers, polka-dot or not, easy with the Blooming Bouquet die set that coordinates with two CDS flower sets.
