Fish A'la Mode...

Hello and Happy Valentine's Day! More importantly (to me), today is my husband's birthday. He is out in the field again this week, not the best way to spend his birthday, but not the worst either. Last year, he was in Iraq, and humm, well every other year he has been in Iraq... Anyway, we will celebrate this weekend. So far we have go carts and mini golf on the agenda.

Well, on todays card! I got some fun mail from my BFF, Cassie. She sent me some October Afternoon Campfire dp! Secretly, I had been eyeing that paper for a couple weeks now! So, I paired that dp with this adorable MFT stamp set, and just go together so perfectly. :o)

A "New" Challenge ... Stampin Sisters in Christ & OCC sketch

Hello everyone! I hope everyone got a chance to hop around Clear Dollar Stamps' monthly blog hop yesterday! It was alot of fun, Good Luck to everyone!

Today I have this sweet little lamb to share with you. She is from the Clear Dollar Stamps January new release set called Loving Critters, illustrated by the talented Laurie Wilson, so cute, right?

This card is for two challenges, the first being Stamping Sisters in Christ, where theirs is a Theme challenge, "New", and I went with "new love".
The second is the sketch challenge at Our Creative Corner, where along with the sketch, we are to "play dress up", taking the simple sketch and dress it up. I dressed mine up by using glittery dsp, adding cds gems and the cute heart brads.

Three Challenges on a Monday

Hello and Happy Monday! My son goes to a year round school, so he was off on fall break for the last two weeks, and today its back to school for another 9 week session.. needless to say we are a little tired around the Bryant house today!
Anyway, I worked on this card off and on all day yesterday. I really had fun with it ... I did just notice that my last three posts have all featured a Who's That Girl stamp! As much as I dont want to appear to be a 'one trick pony', I do love WTG! 
I was inspired by, and made this card for three different challenges, which is alot of challenge combining for me! The first being the sketch challenge #86 at Card Patterns, the second a theme challenge at Raise the Bar, #40 the theme being "Get a Hobby" featuring a hobby/sport/interest on your card. I obviously chose gardening. I do love planting and taking care of my flowers, plants and trees. The third challenge is at Our Creative Corner, "the more embellishments the better" - use at least three different embellishments. My embellishments are:  1) ribbon 2) Strawberry Jam jewels (cds) and 3) The rolled flowers made with MFT's rolled flower die.

A Season of Wonder -- OCC Sketch Challenge #31

Happy Labor Day my friends! The unofficial end to summer and the begining of my favorite time of year. I love the crisp cooler air in the mornings and the warm sunny air of the afternoons.

Today I have an OCC Sketch challenge card to share with you, made with an elegant Clear Dollar Stamps stamp set, A Season of Wonder,  set of 5 for only $7.99.

It was really hard for me to not color in the image, coloring is one of my favorite things to do! But, with this image, it seemed to highlight the main image of Jesus and Mary even more without color. Not to mention how easy it could be to produce a stack of Christmas Cards by not coloring the image. humm, something to ponder..

Stamp Something and OCC Sketch #11

Hello blogland friends! The first part of today was icky and rainy here in the desert southwest, perfect for crafting! Also, I am waiting for Lowe's to deliver my new samsung front loading HE washer... so as I wait, I craft and blog.
Today, I chose the OCC Sketch challenge #11 and the Stamp Something challenge, which this week is to layer. The bigger challenge would to NOT layer, right? haha.. well these two challenges went perfectly together, so here they are.
I was inspired by this Cosmo Cricket paper my BFF, Cassie, shared with me. I just love the outdoorsey colors, they remind me of living back in the northwestern corner of Washington State where my husband and I would go hiking and camping quite a bit.

Dream Big .. A Four in One!

Hello Everyone! Happy Saturday and Happy April! I am so happy April has finally arrived for so many reasons, one of which, my husband will be home from Iraq in about 4 weeks!
Anyway, I dont really strive to see how many challenges I can put into one project, if I do combine challenges, it is usually at about 2. Today, however, it just worked out that this card qualifies for 4  challenges! WOW!

There She Goes List Challenge TSG48

Last weekend, my son and I went to the outlet mall, and every time I go out there, I like to stroll around the Coach store just to look, basically making sure there isnt a handbag that I "must have". Lately, that has been the case. But, last weekend, there was a super cute bag that I really wanted, but my budget said NO. So, instead of dreaming of a handbag that wasnt meant to be, I found this adorable stamp set from MFT called Totally Fabulous. And, it was on sale! So, not only did I get my handbag fix with a stamp set, but it was on sale. What more can you ask for? HAHA...

I paired a couple of challenges with this card. First, the sketch at Our Creative Corner, and the second, the list challenge at There She Goes. The list challenge is this:

I paper pieced the skirt with Rose Red dsp, and her shirt with textured black cs. I added glossy accents to her handbag to give it a patent leather effect. I also used a very vanilla watercolor wonder crayon to give the effect of a store front window.

Our Creative Corner Sketch and CC261

Its been another windy day here in El Paso... which makes a good day to get some crafting done! This card is for two challenges, I love to combine color & sketch challenges. Today, I inked up one of my all time favorite stamp sets designed by Shawne - Studio 313 at Clear Dollar Stamps. It is called Biggest Wishes, isnt this little birthday mouse just the most adorable?? I just love her! The challenges are the Splitcoast Color Challenge CC261 -- Bashful Blue, Certianly Celery & Melon Mambo. Great spring / Easter colors!

Happy Spring ... Well almost! Today sure felt like spring here in El Paso. Another lovely day. Today I have this card to share with you which features one of the Clear Dollar Stamps March new releases. This set is called Barnyard Mischief and it is SO CUTE!! Also, I incorporated two challenges, one from Get Sketchy -- to make a spring themed card -- no sketch, and the other from Our Creative Corner -- the sketch. This one I made for the Raise the Bar Challenge, which this week is to include hearts on a card and for the sketch challenge at Truly Scrumptious. I kept wanting to add more and more to this, and as you can see, I added an awful lot. ha ha.. It was also very hard for me to only color in those love monkeys, I have a hard time leaving things un-colored. OCCC Masculine Valentine's Day Card

Hello! This weekend at Our Creative Corner, the challenge is to make a masculine valentine's card. Talk about a challenge! My husband is not a "card guy" He supports my habit - err I mean hobby,  but isnt really interested in the card itself. And to top it off, Valentine's day just happens to be my husband's birthday, (I know, how sweet, right?) So I always want to focus on his birthday vs the "holiday" itself. Anyway, this card is for the Thursday Stamps & Smiles sketch challenge over at Our Creative Corner. I have been having so much fun playing along with these sketches for the past 4 or 5 weeks! This week at Our Creative Corner's Sweet and Sassy Sketch Challenge they have an awesome and challenging sketch to inspire us. Its not called a challenge for nothin' right? If you look back at some of my recent posts, I really like these little snowmen, I just might love them. After studying the sketch a little bit, I knew I wanted to use this awesome Night of Navy dsp, it reminds me of snow falling from a dark afternoon sky. Today, when I studied this week's sketch, this cute little nutcracker came to mind. Perfect! He is tall and skinny, just like the panels shown in the sketch. I have also been veering toward the CAS card lately, even though there are several layers, it is simple and clean lined. huh..
Oooh, I just noticed my modern label "enjoy the Season" is crooked, I just checked it and it didnt stick to the ribbon very well, and it fell during picture taking! So please excuse that mishap! It is entirely too much work to go back and change out the picture! LOL ..
