Hi There! Welcome to another great week of The Color Dare! I hope everyone has had a wonderful Christmas and is still enjoying the holiday season! Can you believe we are about to welcome 2010 in just a couple days? I cant believe how quick this last year has gone.
So, between your New Year's celebrations and hitting the after Christmas sales, I hope you will have time to create with the following colors:

So, you may wonder, but this week, my card was inspired by the hispanic grocery store near our house. It is our favorite grocery store in El Paso. They have the most amazing bakery, delicious goodies, and colorful ones too! They always have brightly colored doughnuts, in fact today, my son got a "bashful" blue one with pink stripes. He said it was ok for a boy because it was mostly blue. lol..

DONUT BE SAD about 2009 coming to an end, be happy and get in your craft room! I cant wait to see what you guys come up with!!

Hello Everyone! Welcome to another week of The Color Dare! This week we dare you to use the following colors in your project:

Gorgeous colors, right? The Color Dare's DT leader, Riley, does such a great job choosing the colors for the challenge! For this one, I dusted off one of my favorite stamp sets, In Full Bloom. I just love to watercolor these gorgeous flowers. Also, it seems that lately, I have been doing alot of CAS cards! I guess I go in spurts, CAS, Going overboard, Cas, overboard ... haha

Hi Everyone! Today, I am a bit stircrazy .. trying to keep busy. Ya see, tomorrow, my husband is supposed to be boarding a plane and coming home for a 2 week visit. He probably wont arrive until Monday, and since it has been 7 1/2 months since we have seen my husband, we need to keep ourselves busy so this weekend doesnt creep by any slower than it already has....

So, today, I decided to break out my new Cosmo Cricket and Basic Grey dps along with these neat chipboard adhesivables (is that a real word?) and make some fun cards.

The top card was inspired by the sketch at Card Patterns, although, I did not end up following the sketch very well, and for the bottom card, I used the sketch from the Thursday Our Creative Corner sketch challenge SASSC45 . Thank you so much for stopping by my blog today!

The Pink Elephant #45 Theme Challenge

Get Sketchy #18 & CC249

{Sigh} I just love this little eskimo! I had been eyeing this adorable stamp set from Clear Dollar for months and months now, I put it in my shopping cart and then saved it for later so many times I cant keep track. Finally, I mean FINALLY, I put a little birthday money to good use and ordered this super cute stamp set, Winter Eskimo from Clear Dollar Stamps.
This card was created to satisfy two challenges, the sketch challenge at Get Sketchy and the color challenge at Splitcoast. I love to combine a color challenge with a sketch! The talented gals at splitcoast challenge us to use Mellow Moss, So Saffron and Melon Mambo (or Rose Red) with a neutral. I just love how happy little Miss Eskimo is. Just look at those rosey cheeks and happy grin. Cant help but smile when I look at her. I hope you find her just as pleasing!

OCCC Sketch Challenge SASSC44

I have such a busy week ahead and I really wanted to play along for this week's Stamps and Smiles Sketch Challenge at Our Creative Corner, so I got to work this evening and, turns out, I am pretty happy with the results! Hello! Happy Thursday! Usually the best day of the week but since all my shows are taking a holiday break, it's just Thursday. ha ha .. Today I would like to share with you a card I made for this week's color challenge at Splitcoast. The challenge is to use Barely Banana, Rich Razzleberry and Always Artichoke on a project.
I chose to use the super cute and adorable Oliver Ostrich stamp and the coordinating sentiment from Clear Dollar stamps, which were ONLY $1.75 and $1.25 respectively. Sweet Deal, right?

The Pink Elephant #44 Favortie Christmas Color Combo

Hello all! I am very excited about what I have to share with you today! It is kind of funny how this card, that I made for the Pink Elephant challenge of Favorite Christmas Color combos, came to fruition. I love love using non traditional colors on Christmas projects so I knew this challenge would be a fun one! I was leafing thru my new Cosmo Cricket Early Bird paper pack when this beautiful bird print caught my eye. Perfect! Red, Teal, and Vanilla! This paper immediately brought the Pretty Perches to the front of my mind! Tying these two items together, I was off to the races creating. The funny part is that I completey finished up the center / focal point, the bird feeder, birds, dimentionals, ect before even starting to think out a layout that would work much less what cardstock I would use, ect. But, as you can see, it all worked itself out, kind of like the card made itself ... hummm...
