Katie's Life Celebration Blog Hop

Hello Friends ...Thank you for joining us in honoring our Katie. You should have arrived here from the sweet and talented, not to mention MY BFF, Cassie's blog if not, go ahead and hop back to the begining HERE.

As many of you know, our sweet friend, Katie Renz, just recently lost her battle with gastric cancer. It comforts me to know she is no longer suffering that terrible pain, and that she is once again healed and whole in the Kingdom of Heaven. I like to think of her leading God's Design Team.

Katie brought so much creativity to the blogging community, as well as SO MUCH MORE. Today, on this "Tuesday Tutorial", we would like to honor our Katie by CASEing her fabulous cards into birthday cards. Katie was so uber-talented, I tried my best to honor her by CASEing this card:

I have a LONG way to go before I am able to color as beautifully as Katie could, but I do hope I did her card justice. I was drawn to this card by the eyelets and twine. Katie always had a keen eye for special details.

I 'met' Katie thru Clear Dollar Stamps before I was invited to join the design team, we would comment and chat during the old weekly color challenge. Turns out she lived in my old home town! She, along with my BFF, Cassie, encouraged me to try out for the design team and continued to encourage me while we served on the cds design team together.

Katie was such an inspiring person, not only in her card making and crafting, but in her honesty and candor. She openly shared her journey with the cancer she battled, her ups and downs and her finding peace.

She will be grately missed and fondly remembered.

Thank you so much for stopping by and joining in Katie's Life Celebration blog hop. Your next stop is the talented Jerusha's blog. Again, thank you for joining us in remembering such a wonderful person.

Anyway ... I made this card for Sweet Sketch Wednesday #126. Also, at Paper Smooches, Kim is looking for Christmas cards, so that is why I was inspired to ink up my Paper Smooches' Santa Paws set. I (heart) Paper Smooches' images! Also, although this card may not be so "CAS" I will throw it in the mix at CAS-ual Fridays where they are asking for a design element to go 'over the edge'. I did it creations is calling for Christmas, The Crafty Pad is calling for Paper Piecing ( I paper pieced Santa's suit), and The Ribbon Girl is also calling for Christmas cards.

Clear Dollar Stamps October NEW RELEASE Product Parade Day 1

Hello Friends! I am thilled to announce that TODAY is the first day of four days of CLEAR DOLLAR STAMPS' NEW RELEASE Product Parade!  You may remember back in April, we started a new way to showcase our new releases to you all, instead of making you wait to shop, everything we show you is available for purchase NOW! No more waiting! Over the next 4 days, the design team will be sharing inspirations on each of the new releases! So lets get started with day 1.

Today we have alot of neat Christmas stamps to share with you!

Little Bethlehem
This is a set of 5 for only $7.99 This image is so elegant, and at the same time, it can be whimsical and fun, all depends on how you decide to color your image. I decided to go with a muted pallet using my copics.

It is very possible that this is one of my favorite stamp sets, Christmas or otherwise. The city of Bethlehem is so significant that it works perfectly for a CAS card, ideal for mass producing that long list of Christmas cards!

Details:
Stamps: Little Bethlehem
Paper: Chocolate Chip, Echo park Wintertime, Choice Buttercream

Ink: Momento Tuxedo Black, Baja Breeze

Copics: E23, E81, E33, E43, E47, E31, YR30, BG70, W1, C1, G17, G05, R46

Tools/Accessories: Top Note die, Labels 4 Nestabilities, coordinating ribbon, Sponge dauber, tiny rhinestone

Antique Ornaments
This is a set of 5 for $9.99 elegant and sophitacated stamps. They are a unique twist on the traditional Christmas card.

Be sure to check out Lori's Blog as well as my fellow DT members' blogs for a glimpse at the other unique stamps that come in this set.

********************

Poinsettia Joy
This is a sweet single stamp that sells for $5.75. I really like single stamps that have a significant size to them, and this one has just that. And it is really fun to color, or even paper piece!

Here, I stamped the poinsettia image directly onto the striped dp and stamped it three more times onto Choice SnowWhite, cutting out and paper piecing to give the flower a 3D effect.
Card Details:
Stamps: Poinsettia Joy
Paper: CC Odds & Ends, Choice Snowwhite

Ink: Momento Tuxedo Black

Copics: R20, R22, G02, G05

Tools/Accessories: Ticket corner punch, dimensionals

********************

Christmas Inchies
This is a set of 15 for only $12.99. It is a very cute and functional stamp set suited for any number of card sketches.

The idea behind this card was to make it look like an envelope and the Christmas Inchies stamp is supposed to be the stamp.

Card Details:
Stamps: Christmas Inchies
Paper: Echo Park Wintertime

Ink: Momento Tuxedo black & rich cocoa

Copics: YR30, R37, B95

********************

Celebrate the Reason
This is a single seasonal stamp that will pair perfectly with several of our new releases. I went in a bit of a different direction.

When I was brainstorming on how to showcase this stamp, I saw the word "bloom" and just held onto it, the word "bloom" became my inspiration for this card, making me think of 'blooming' into a New Year, fresh and new.

Card Details:
Stamps: Celebrate the Reason, Peony
Paper: BG Sweet Theads dp, Neenah Solar White

Ink: Momento Tuxedo Black, CDS Fresh Papaya,
