Sweet Sketch Wednesday #56 and MFT Wed Stamp Club!!

This was SOO FUN!! I am very excited to share this card with you today! I used the sketch at Sweet Sketch Wednesday #56 as my inspiration, although I did not follow the sketch exactly.. and also the supply challenge at the My Favorite Things blog - WSC -- Use 3 ribbons. To top it all off, I challenged myself to use this super neat handmade paper that my friends' husband made. How perfect to pair handmade paper with the Who's That Girl Goes Green stamp.

Details:
Stamps: Whos that Girl Goes Green (MFT)
Paper: Kraft, Chocolate Chip, Sweet Pea (clearly coordinating CDS)
Handmade paper, Whisper White, Basic Grey Origins
Ink: Momento Tuxedo Black, Real Red
Tombow markers 245,856, Prismacolor pencils
Tools/Accessories: Chocolate Chip lg brads, word window,
Ribbons from TE KI kit

Who's that in the garden?

I made this card for the pure fun of it. And it was fun! I love paper piecing! I like how her outfit sorta matches .. she is sitting in the dirt after all. I was inspired by sketch #54 at Sweet Sketch Wednesday. Even though its too late to submit for the challenge, I thought it fit pretty well.

Taylored Expressions Sketch Challenge #118

Hey there! Happy Tuesday! Today I got to spend some valuable time in my craft room, which I truly enjoyed. Sadly, today after 35 much earned days off, the real world caught up to us and my husband had to go back to work. The bright side is that I get to spend more time crafting.

Today I got to work with my June Taylored Expressions Key Ingredients kit and my new Cuppie set, Udderly Sweet. The top card I made for Taylored Expression's Sketch challenge, and the bottom is just a bonus card I made for our friend Kevin's birthday. On the top card, I used my detail scissors to snip out the grass and double layered it for more dimention. I got that idea from a die my Bff Cassie has. I just might "need" that die.. lol

 more mustard brads (top)

Clearly Inspired Challenge #14 plus a Sweet Sketch!

Hello! I am so happy that I found some time to craft and participate in a couple of challenges! It has been awhile since I have been able to sit down and play in the craft room.. I chose to combine two of my favorite challenges, the first being the Clearly Inspired Challenge #14 - create a Birthday card and the second is the sketch at Sweet Sketch Wednesday.
Thanks so much for stopping by! I will be back into my crafting and blogging routine soon enough, once things settle down here at Casa Bryant that is. Yep, a half ironman tri .. that totals 70.3 miles in total. Then, my DH heads back to work, and I can get back to crafting, where I can hear my new stamps, accessories and dp calling for me to come and play .. lol ..

Clearly Crafty Crew DT CALL!!

I am SUPER excited to get to share this with you! This card is my submission for the Clearly Crafty Crew Design Team!! (2nd term) The challenge was to follow the sketch, to use bright colors and an embellishment of our choosing. As soon as I saw the sketch, I knew I wanted to use this stamp, Fabulous Fruitstand (CDstamps). This stamp is SO fun to color and it fits perfectly with the bright colors called for in the challenge! I used both tombow markers and prismacolor pencils to color the image as well as paper piecing her shirt with the fun dp, Cosmo Cricket Garden Variety.
I love Clear Dollar Stamps.  The product quality is fantastic and the people are amazing. I am fingers crossed hopeful that I will make the summer DT. It would be such a blessing to me to get to create along side the talented ladies at Clear Dollar. Wish me luck!

Vacation time is finally here!

Today is the last day I can call my son a Kindergartener. At 10:45 this morning he will officially be a first grader. Time goes by so fast, at least where our kids are concerned! When it comes to waiting for vacation, it seems like it has been forever since my husband and I were planning our Florida vacation via skype. (he was in Iraq)
So today is the day, our son becomes a first grader, and we fly out to Florida. The best part, for me, is that we get to spend time with my BFF, Cassie and our son's BFF's (Cassie's kids) at the beach!
I love my husband so much, and espcially so since he planned this vacation so Cassie and I could hang out for a few days at the beach. We have remained close over the last 1 1/2 year since my family had to move 1500 miles away thanks to the internet, texting, calls, cards and blogging. She is my #1 inspiration for crafting and being a good parent and friend.
I hope to get to post a card maybe two over vacation, and I will definately be back posting often once we get back to our day to day routine.

Florida - Disney - Nick resort - Beach - here we come!

((I continue to pray that God would keep the oil from ruining the gulf coast))
