Clearly Inspired Challenge #36 *** Glitter ***

Hello! Here we are, already at the third Friday of September! That means my 'little' boy turns 8 in exactly one week. EEK! I am not ready for him to be 8!
That also means that it is time again for the Clearly Inspired Challenge over at Lori's blog, ClearlyiStamp. Our hostess, and my BFF, Cassie, has challenged us to use Glitter on our projects.

This is why it is called a 'challenge'. Glitter and I are not really friends. I like how it looks on other people's projects, but I dont love working with it. But, today, I found this neat embossing 'tinsel' in my stash! I used Versamark ink and heat embossed the glitter and eliminated the headache and mess that I often encounter with glitter! YaY!

Here are the details for the Clearly Inspired Challenge!**************

Friday Mash-Up #23 with Sweet Sketch Wednesday #118

Hello Friends! Happy Friday! Today I have this adorable schoolbus card to share with you! I made it with two of my favorite challenges in mind, the first being Sweet Sketch Wednesday, and the second is The Friday Mash-up. This week, Friday Mashup's challenge, " itching to be stitching" is to add faux or real stitching to our cards, or, to make a school themed card, OR, to mash it up and do both! Well, I LOVE the look of stitching, but I did not have the patience or time to do it today, but I did use my "sew easy" thread as embellishment! And with all the kiddos back to school, it was fun to ink up "My Little Schoolbus" from Clear Dollar Stamps.
Thank you so much for stopping by! I value your visit and comments dearly!

Stamps: CDS My Little Schoolbus
Paper: Choice Snowwhite, Basic Black, Nautical Blue light,
 Echo Park Country Drive dp
Ink: Momento Tuxedo Black

Friday Mash-Up #22 " What's behind door number ....8 "

Hi again! This is my second post of the day. I have been behind on .. well, it seems like just about everything, so I am taking time this morning to get caught up. Yesterday I had alot of fun playing along with one of my new favorite challenge blogs, The Friday Mash-up. This week the challenge is to make either a Gate Fold Card, or make a card using Numbers or MASH IT UP and do both!
I, of course, HAD to Mash it up!! My little boy turns 8 later on this month, so it was a perfect time to add the number 8 to my card. Above shows the card closed, the white rectangle with the cake adds as a tab over the gate opening. The picture below shows the card open to a bright dp sunshine.

Stamps: CDS Birthday Cake Slice & Happy Birthday (single stamps)
Paper: Real Red, Choice SnowWhite, BG Manilla dp
Unknown Echo Park dp
Ink: Momento Tuxedo Black
