This second sample for today is just one of several awesome images illustrated by Trudy from We Go Together, a stamp set of 10 for only $9.99. This set is a definate must have. Let me point out something very important about this image... I added the word "Soy" at the top of the milk carton. I did this for one simple reason, I am allergic to dairy, so the obvious choice for me is Soy Milk. I used a regular pen and wrote it in on top of my stamped image. The actual image does NOT have the word SOY on it. I just thought it would be fun coming from me. ;o)

Details:

Stamps: We Go Together (CDS)

Paper: Real Red, Neenah Solar White,

Winter Wonderland times Three!

Hi everyone! I have been able to spend two mornings in a row in the craft room, which has been wonderful. I am sure all of you can relate, crafting is truly therapeutic.

This morning I was inspired and energized the MFT Wednesday Stamp Club challenge for this week. This week its a theme, "Winter Wonderland" and this MFT stamp set, Winter in the City came to mind. Its no secret how much I love the Who's that Girl line, and this stamp is no exception. I had alot of fun choosing out her 'outfit' ... paper piecing has to be one of my favorite techniques ... Anyway, I love the sketch for this week's Card Patterns challenge #93, so I had to play along with them! This card also fits into the theme challenge at Stampin Royalty, which is "Winter Holidays". Perfect! It has been a fun morning, thanks goes out to these three challenge blogs for the inspiration!

OhMyLanta it has been a long time since I have been able to spend some good quality time with my stamps, copics and designer paper! Too long! So, I set aside some time today to do just that. And since this IS my second post of the day, you can see I took full advanage of my crafting time!
I decided to try my hand at this week's Mojo Monday sketch.

I was very excited to use my new stamp set! My BFF Cassie gave me this fabulous TE stamp set What's Cookin' for my birthday last week. And wouldn't you know, this dp goes with it perfectly! My husband gave me my kitchenaid mixer goodness maybe 15 years ago .. and I love it. I think the kitchenaid is the ultimate kitchen icon. So, of course it is the stamp I chose for this card.

Sweet Sketch Wednesday #79

Greetings and Happy Wednesday from the warm desert southwest! As most of you are shivering in a deep winter chill, I am enjoying sunny blue skies and 65 degree weather - from the windows anyway! This card, I made for Sweet Sketch Wednesday's sketch challenge, I actually made the entire card before even deciding what image to use! I did finally decide on Blooming Bouquet a December new release from Clear Dollar Stamps. Along with the stamp, I used the coordinating die - that  cute and embosses!

A Birthday Card for an Old Friend....

Hello Friends! I made this card a few days ago following the sketch challenge at Truly Scrumptious .. but I missed the deadline to post it on their blog. It does, however fit into the PaperTake Weekly challenge which is "Cut it Out" (use punched shapes / die cuts) and it also fits with the "anything goes" challenge  at For Fun Challenges that I will post it on.
I really enjoy making cards for a specific person. This one is for my friend, Elli who I met when we were both in 8th grade, our birthdays are only 8 days apart, so of course she will be getting a special card from me. She teaches English in Paris, so I am afraid it will be a little late, but I think she will appreciate it all the same.
Thanks so much for stopping by my blog! I would love to hear what you think!

Three Challenges on a Monday

Hello and Happy Monday! My son goes to a year round school, so he was off on fall break for the last two weeks, and today its back to school for another 9 week session.. needless to say we are a little tired around the Bryant house today!
Anyway, I worked on this card off and on all day yesterday. I really had fun with it ... I did just notice that my last three posts have all featured a Who's That Girl stamp! As much as I dont want to appear to be a 'one trick pony', I do love WTG!
I was inspired by, and made this card for three different challenges, which is alot of challenge combining for me! The first being the sketch challenge #86 at Card Patterns, the second a theme challenge at Raise the Bar, #40 the theme being "Get a Hobby" featuring a hobby/sport/interest on your card. I obviously chose gardening. I do love planting and taking care of my flowers, plants and trees. The third challenge is at Our Creative Corner, "the more embellishments the better" - use at least three different embellishments. My embellishments are:  1) ribbon 2) Strawberry Jam jewels (cds) and 3) The rolled flowers made with MFT's rolled flower die.
Thank you so much for stopping by my blog today! I would love to hear what you think!

Creative Inspirations Sketch #82

If you haven't yet guessed, I am a fan of MFT's Who's that girl line of stamps.. Some may be put off by her lack of head, but I think that is one of the best things, she can be anyone, and she is great to paper piece, my favorite technique! I made this one for the Creative Inspirations Sketch challenge #82. I added to the challenge by limiting myself to this stamp set and Basic Grey Wanted dp.
Details:

Details are Sketchy - Flourishes Sketch Challenge

Good Sunday morning everyone! The other day I received some happy mail from my BFF... I knew she was sending me something, but I was so excited to see this adorable the ala modes stamp set from MFT in my package! She knows me so well, I do love coffee! I also recently received some copics and I have been practicing and practicing, and although I know I need more practice, I think I am getting a better handle on them... I also could be totally off base here... lol
Anyway, I came across this challenge when checking out a fellow CDS DT member Stacy's blog. Flourishes is a new company to me so I have yet to try out their products, and was happy to see I could enter their challenge using another company's stamps. I really enjoyed this sketch and I made this card as a thank you to my BFF for my happy mail.

Sweet Sketch Wednesday on a Sunday

Hello and happy Sunday! I finally got time to finish this card that I started on Friday! Sometimes, things just go that way, dont they? Hopefully, it isnt just me! Haha.. Anyway, I made this with two challenges in mind. First being one of my favorite challenge blogs, Sweet Sketch Wednesday. This one is for sketch #69. The second challenge is for Creative Inspirations, which is "Christmas in September" and even though we are three days into October, I think it still fits .. A couple weeks ago my BFF and I were chatting on the phone and she tells me how neat the latest MFT VIP kit is! So, as soon as I got home from taking my son to school, I checked it out and you know I "needed" it! So, as you may have guessed, I really put that kit to work! The stamps of course, the beautiful wide pleated ribbon, and the awesome snowflake die are all from the VIP kit.
Thank you so much for stopping by! I would love to hear what you think!

This month we are challenging you to a color challenge!  The challenge is to use Shades of Orange and Black with an option of shades of Purple. Neutrals being white or cream. Nice, right? Perfect colors for October...maybe a little spooky, and maybe a little autumn. I wanted to do something different than a Halloween card, and I ended up not doing a card at all!
