PaperTake Weekly Sketch #53

Hello Friends! Today it is a warm and sunny day here in the desert southwest, which inspired me to use this floral dp that reminds me of spring, you know, those days where the air is a perfect temperature ... ahh, I love those days before it gets unbareably hot ..
Anyway, with spring in mind, I got to work on this week's PaperTake Weekly sketch.  The flowers brought butterflies to mind, so I brought out my Bold Butterflies stamps with their matching dies! I just love these butterfly dies! And, along with spring and butterflies, I am reminded of God's handywork in all the new blooms coming our way, and that is why I paired the butterfly die with the scripture stamp from Clear Dollar Stamps, Scriptures of Hope.

Stamps:  CDS Scriptures of Hope &  CDS Bold Butterflies
Cardstock/Papers: Tea Party dsp, So Saffron

Fish A'la Mode...

Hello and Happy Valentine's Day! More importantly (to me), today is my husband's birthday. He is out in the field again this week, not the best way to spend his birthday, but not the worst either. Last year, he was in Iraq, and humm, well every other year he has been in Iraq... Anyway, we will celebrate this weekend. So far we have go carts and mini golf on the agenda.

Well, on todays card! I got some fun mail from my BFF, Cassie. She sent me some October Afternoon Campfire dp! Secretly, I had been eyeing that paper for a couple weeks now! So, I paired that dp with this adorable MFT stamp set, and just go together so perfectly. :o)

This card is for two challenges, the first being the sketch challenge at
The Sweet Stop, and the second is the challenge at Our Creative Corner, which is to 'Cut It Out', and for my cutting, I paper pieced the pants, shirt and boots.

Stamps: MFT A'la Modes Something's Fishy,

Ink: Momento Tuxedo Black, Copics

Techniques: Paper Piecing

Fun with Hearts

Hello Everyone! Happy Wednesday! I must admit, I am not the biggest fan of Valentine's day, mainly because it is my husband's birthday and I want it to just be his birthday... But, I set aside my "eh - ness" and made a Valentine's day card. I do love this dp, and I do love this frog! He is from ths February new release from Clear Dollar Stamps called Hoppy Frogs, it is a set of 8 for $7.99. Click HERE to go check it out at the Clear Dollar Stamps Store.
** Inspiration alert!! ** I got the idea to have the frog holding up the circle & heart from my fellow CDS DT member, the very talented Barb. I just thought it was such a clever idea I had to try it!
My favorite weekly challenge has to be Sweet Sketch Wednesday, the ladies there are so great, both in their creative inspirations and their kind comments.
Not suprisingly, this card follows the Sweet Sketch Wednesday #88 sketch.

This card also qualifies for a few other challenges, so what the heck, I will throw my hat in the ring for a few more challenges.

Stampin Royalty #58 -- Hearts Hearts and More Hearts
Crafty Creations #105 -- Three Little Words
Crafty Cardmakers #39 -- Hearts
PaperTake Weekly -- Have a Heart

Thank you so much for stopping by my blog! Take a look around! I cherish your comments, thoughts and suggestions!
