October Sneak Peeks Day Two !!

Hello and welcome to Clear Dollar Stamps October Sneak Peeks Day Two! Today I am showcasing the adorable Filled with Cheer, a set of 14 for only $12.99. This set is really fun and has so many possibilities. For this first example, I masked the three stockings then paper pieced them with fun Christmas dp.
Below is a close up detailing one of the several great sentiments that come with this set.

Details (above set)
Stamps: Filled with Cheer (CDS)
Paper: Old Olive, Real Red, Very Vanilla, Merry Moments dsp
Ink: Momento Tuxedo Black, Real Red
Tools/Accessories: Ribbons Tag Trio Spellbinders, Sponge, Corner Rounder, Ticket corner punch, Chocolate stitched ribbon

For my second example, I stamped the stocking just once and stuffed the stocking with wrapped presents. When I was a kid, my parents stuffed our stockings with fruit and unwrapped trinkets, and now we use my husband's tradition, we wrap each little treat and trinket before we stuff our stockings. I watercolored the main image using Clear Dollar Stamps Clearly Coordinating Hybrid Inks, Strawberry Jam and Spruce Needle.

Details (above card)
Stamps: Filled with Cheer (CDS)
Paper: Spruce Needle, Strawberry Jam (clearly coordinating),
Watercolor paper
Ink: Momento Tuxedo Black, Strawberry Jam, Spruce Needle,
Fresh Papaya - sponging
Tools/Accessories: Labels One, Scor-Pal, Sponge
Spruce Needle & Strawberry Jam Ribbon

Card Patterns #82

This is exactly what I will be doing once my chores are done ... Relaxing with the new Nicholas Sparks book. So, I was up before everyone else this Sunday morning and I jumped right into crafting with my newest MFT stamp, Well Read WTG. (sigh) I just love WTG.. I love paper piecing, and the two just go so wonderfully together! So, I made this card for this week's CardPatterns sketch challenge #82. And, nearly all the paper & accessories come from the September Key Ingredients Kit from Taylored Expressions, which was delivered to my house on the very same day as this MFT stamp set! How fortutious indeed! ;o)

A Limelight Sketch

Hello and happy Sunday! This is my second post for today, I was able to enjoy some quiet time in the craft room this morning while my family was still asleep. I may not be a 'morning person' but I do like the stillness of the morning.
Anyway, I made this card for the Limelight Papercrafts sketch challenge, in which they also called for a tag. I fashioned my "tag" out of a scrap piece of paper, and I think it serves its purpose.
I chose to use this newly released stamp set from Clear Dollar Stamps called A Season of Wonder. A set of 5 for only $7.99. Definately a great value. I was inspired by that fantastic piece of dp from the Basic Grey Origins collection. It is a square 6x6 like you would expect, I just trimmed around the scalloped edges giving it more of a special look. Kind of reminds me of a tapestry.
Details:
Stamps: A Season of Wonder (CDS)
Paper: Very Vanilla, Basic Grey Origins
Ink/Markers: Momento Tuxedo Black, Cherry Go-Round Tombow Marker (CDS)
Tools/Accessories: Prismacolor Pencils, Cherry Go-Round Ribbon (CDS),
 Very Vanilla Brad

Thank you so much for stopping by! I would love to hear what you think!

Birthday Party Invites for my Son

Hi Everyone! Today I am excited to share with you the birthday party invitations I came up with for my son's 7th birthday party. No, it is not a Halloween party, its a mini-golf party .. but it is hard to please an almost 7 year old boy. He wanted me to buy Ben-10 invitations, but I just couldnt do it. I HAD to make them! So, he agreed as long as I used this great set from Clear Dollar Stamps called SPIDER GREETINGS which is apart of the August new releases.
Here you can see the different dp's I used all from the same collection, and how the invites look on the inside. I just love the "lets hang out" sentiment along side those cute spiders! These cards fit into the Stamptacular Sundays Challenge - to use a grid pattern, and Paper Sundaes challenge - to use Halloween colors. I think the black, orange & purple fit in just fine there.
Details:
Stamps: Spider Greetings (Clear Dollar Stamps)
Paper: Echo Park dp, basic black, misc textured cardstock
Ink: Momento Tuxedo Black, Tombow Markers, Wild Huckelberry (CDS), Whisper White Craft ink
Tools/Accessories: Circle & Pinking Circle Nestabilities, Sponge

A Season of Wonder -- OCC Sketch Challenge #31

Happy Labor Day my friends! The unofficial end to summer and the begining of my favorite time of year. I love the crisp cooler air in the mornings and the warm sunny air of the afternoons.

Today I have an OCC Sketch challenge card to share with you, made with an elegant Clear Dollar Stamps stamp set, A Season of Wonder set of 5 for only $7.99.

It was really hard for me to not color in the image, coloring is one of my favorite things to do! But, with this image, it seemed to highlight the main image of Jesus and Mary even more without color. Not to mention how easy it could be to produce a stack of Christmas Cards by not coloring the image. humm, something to ponder..

Thank you so much for stopping by! I would love to hear what you think!

Details:
Stamps: A Season of Wonder (CDS)
Paper: Night of Navy, Whisper White, Holiday Lounge dsp
Ink: Night of Navy, Momento Tuxedo Black
Tools/Accessories:  Circle Nestabilities, Corner Rounder,
Swiss Dots embossing folder, Real Red stitched ribbon, Sponge

Sending You Lots of Hugs

Hello!! Welcome to September! I am happy September has arrived for so many reasons, the heat should be calming down here in the desert southwest and my baby boy turns 7 towards the end of the month. I dont know how I feel about my son turning 7, he is our only child so it is hard to see him grow up.
Anyway... I made this card a few days ago but didnt have a chance to post it till now. I really like this Pure Innocence image from MFT, she is so sweet and super fun to paper piece! And if you are a regular blog visitor of mine, you know how much I love to paper piece!
I made this card for the MFT Wednesday stamp club challenge from Aug 25, which is "floral fantasy". I made the flower using the MFT flower die-namics, along with the flower dp, and the flower bouquet, I think this card is perfect for this challenge. Even though that week has passed, I still wanted to post it because I like it so much! (teehee)
Details:
Stamps: Bunch of Blooms (MFT PI)
Paper: August Taylored Expressions Key Ingredients Kit
Ink: Momento Tuxedo Black, Prismacolors
Tools/Accessories: 1/2" circle punch, bulid-a-brad, flower die (MFT), Oval & Scalloped Oval Nestabilities
Technique: Paper Piecing

Thanks so much for stopping by! I would love to hear what you think!
