Card Patterns #99

Hello! Yesterday I had a little bit of time before I had to get ready for the St Barbara's Ball, so I decided to get started on this sketch from Card Patterns. I chose out and cut my paper, got everything ready, but did not have time to color in my Heart Hugs Bear. So I left everything on my desk to work on later. Well, later came this morning, and I just fell in love with the bear as is .. so I resisted the urge to color him in and left him white. Today, I think the phrase "less is more" applies to a tee.

Clear Dollar Stamps January Blog Hop!! **New Beginings**

YAY! ITS BLOG HOP TIME!!

Hello Everyone and welcome to Clear Dollar Stamp's monthly Blog Hop!  Hopefully you have arrived here from Tricia's blog, but if not go ahead and head back to the begining of the hop at Lori's blog. Remember, a winner will be chosen from comments left throughout the hop, so leave lots of love for the dt!

Our first blog hop to bring in the new year was such a success, we decided to make it a regular thing!  (yay!) On the 3rd Sunday of every month, come join in on the fun and maybe win a prize! What prize? Your choice of stamp set from Clear Dollar Stamps! Good Luck!

For this month, our theme is "New Beginings" which is perfect for the new year. For my example, I chose the January new release "Baby Bundle". I grabbed a journal from my stash of clearance items to alter and go to work.

My husband's CO's wife just had a baby, so I made this for her so she can journal all about all her little baby boy's firsts and doctor visits. I know I just adore looking back at how my baby boy has grown. (he is 7 now!)
Thank you so much for joining in on this month's hop! Hope to see you again next month! Now your next stop is the very talented Laurie's blog who just happens to be the illustrator of this adorable stamp set I featured on my journal!

Details:
Stamps: Baby Bundle
Paper: Unknown SU dp, Baja Breeze, Whisper White

MFT Wednesday Stamp Club Sketch #2 and Raise the Bar # 49

Hello everyone! Welcome to Saturday ... I had a little bit of time before its time to take my son to MMA class .. so I wanted to sneak in to the craft room and get some me time in.  This card fits into two challenges, the first being the sketch challenge at the newly revamped My Favorite Things Wednesday Stamp Club .. I thought this sketch was so fun, and I had this MFT PI stamp Bunch of Blooms in mind. The second challenge is Raise the Bar, which the challenge is a theme: "Oh to be a kid again", using a child image on the card. PI stamps fit that bill to a Tee.
I would like to point out one important thing about this card, I took an idea my BFF Cassie came up with and ran with it (I, of course did thank her first)
She took some double sided 12x12 paper, cut it down to 4 1/4x11 and turned it into a card base, making it effortless to adorn the inside of your card as well as the outside. I thought this was a fantastic idea especially since I have tons of 12x12 laying around... Just click on Cassie's name to go check out her card made with the double sided 12x12 dp. I really think she has started a trend!

Paper: Rassleberry Lemonade(?) dsp, Neenah Solar White, Pale Plum
