Katie's Life Celebration Blog Hop

Hello Friends ...Thank you for joining us in honoring our Katie. You should have arrived here from the sweet and talented, not to mention MY BFF, Cassie's blog if not, go ahead and hop back to the begining HERE.

As many of you know, our sweet friend, Katie Renz, just recently lost her battle with gastric cancer. It comforts me to know she is no longer suffering that terrible pain, and that she is once again healed and whole in the Kingdom of Heaven. I like to think of her leading God's Design Team.

Katie brought so much creativity to the blogging community, as well as SO MUCH MORE. Today, on this "Tuesday Tutorial", we would like to honor our Katie by CASEing her fabulous cards into birthday cards. Katie was so uber-talented, I tried my best to honor her by CASEing this card:

I have a LONG way to go before I am able to color as beautifully as Katie could, but I do hope I did her card justice. I was drawn to this card by the eyelets and twine. Katie always had a keen eye for special details.

I 'met' Katie thru Clear Dollar Stamps before I was invited to join the design team, we would comment and chat during the old weekly color challenge. Turns out she lived in my old home town! She, along with my BFF, Cassie, encouraged me to try out for the design team and continued to encourage me while we served on the cds design team together.

Katie was such an inspiring person, not only in her card making and crafting, but in her honesty and candor. She openly shared her journey with the cancer she battled, her ups and downs and her finding peace.

She will be grately missed and fondly remembered.

Thank you so much for stopping by and joining in Katie's Life Celebration blog hop. Your next stop is the talented Jerusha's blog. Again, thank you for joining us in remembering such a wonderful person.

I didn't think about Katie leading God's Design Team but I know that you're right and she is having a fabulous time spin it. Your card is a beautiful tribute to her. I like how you weren't afraid to change the colors completely taking a masculine card to a feminine one. Beautiful work from all of you so far.
