Hello everyone! I hope you are enjoying your weekend! I got to spend some time in the craft room yesterday while my husband and son went bowling, and this card is the result of my fun time while the boys had their fun time. My Taylored Expressions July Key Ingredients kit had just arrived, so you know I had to dive right into it! I used the (#58) sketch at Sweet Sketch Wednesday but I had to turn it on its side to accomodate the shape of my image.
Speaking of that image, isnt it fabulous? It is a new mini-set from Taylored Expressions called destination cuppie. There are three different sets featuring three different destinations, Seattle, San Fransisco and New York. I, of course, just had to have the Seattle one seeing as how I grew up there! I like how the paisley print resembles rain. Although it does rain alot in Seattle, there are many beautiful days that make up for it. And you can kinda tell that Cuppie is a visitor to the great city, locals rarely use an umbrella. We used parkas. ;o)
Let me tell you a little about that paper flower ... It is made with a die from the die-namics line at My Favorite Things, called die-namics rolled flower. I was skeptical at first, wondering if I would even use such a die or be able to make a flower with it. And after a few practice runs, I love it.
