Sweet Sketch Wednesday #51

Hello Everyone! I was so thrilled to get some time in my craft room, yesterday my sweet husband got our son ready for school and drove him and he picked him up from school too! It was so nice! This month's kit even came with rub-ons! Its been awhile since I had used rub-ons, so it was a fun addition. Thanks so much for stopping by! I would love to hear what you think!

Sweet Sketch Wednesday #50

Can I just tell you how much I love this stamp set and, well, I am kind of in love with this card too. Not to be all full of myself or anything, I am just very happy with how it turned out.  I got to use my May Key Ingredients Kit from Taylored Expressions and my new stamp set called, Lovin from the Oven, from MFT. My BFF, Cassie, has created some wonderful cards with this set, so, I obviously HAD to copy her and get it for myself! I had alot of fun incorporating this baking WTG into the Sweet Sketch Wednesday #50 Challenge. I love the dp that came in this month's key ingredients kit. It is vibrant, thick, and has a nice feel to it. I sure am talking up the KI kits! LOL!
One thing that was super fun about this card is that I paper pieced nearly the entire image, one of my favorite things to do. I even paper pieced the background as if she has that kind of neat wallpaper in her kitchen. One more thing to share about this image is the pink bowl... It totally does not match... But the reason is this: I Love Love old pyrex dishes, the nesting mixing bowls, the pretty colored plates, pie pans and baking dishes. And one of my favorite is my large pink mixing bowl. It was a great antique store find, and here it is, featured on my card.

Clearly Inspired Challenge # 13 - May Flowers

Hi Everyone! I am so happy that I got to spend some time in my craft room yesterday! I finally got to take the ideas I had for the Clearly Inspired Challenge #13 and put them to work. The challenge calls for us to use flowers on our projects, and I love flowers!  At first, I was going to paper piece a flower, but when that failed, I went with option two, which was to stamp the flower image directly on the Basic Grey Kioshi dp and use my new Spring Whispers Tombow markers to highlight the petals. I was so thrilled to see how perfectly the new Paper/Marker/Ribbon collection at Clear Dollar Stamps matches with the Basic Grey Kioshi paper! YAY for matching!
The Details:
Stamps: Peony, Bee-lieve (CDStamps)
Paper: Spring Whispers collection - Cotton Candy, Soft Mint, Lemon Zest(CDStamps), Basic Grey Kioshi

Tools/Accessories: Lemon Zest Ribbon, Corner Rounder, Lattice edge punch, Labels 1 Nestabilities
Thank you so much for stopping by! I have more to share with you later on this weekend!

I have been MIA lately ...

Hi Friends!  Just wanted to leave a quick post ... I am sorry for being MIA lately, I have missed you all so much! Here's what's going on: My MOJO is missing, I even looked all around my craft room, and its Missing! And, the bigger reason for my blog land absence is a good one .. My husband returned from Iraq about 1 1/2 weeks ago! YAY! And as any military wife may know, it takes some time to readjust to life as a complete family and a couple. I will be back in full swing when he goes back to work regular hours. And until then, I will try to get somethings posted soon. I do miss you all so much!

Hello friends! Thanks for stopping by to visit my blog today! This is my second post for today! It has been good to get the mojo going and have fun in the craft room. I made this card for the sketch challenge #47 at Sweet Sketch Wednesday. I just love this challenge blog, all the ladies there are so nice and so talented!
The tree is stamped on SU dsp which I dont remember the name. Its from a fall/winter mini of last year. The entire sheet is wood grain, so I thought it would be perfect for my friendship tree.
