Well the weekend is upon us once again and it is time for the Clear Dollar Stamps Weekend Color Challenge over at PaperCraft Planet.
This weekend's host is the very talented Lisa and the colors she chose are Sage Shadow, Regal Rose, More Mustard with an optional Copper and White as the neutral. This card is the result of my just playing around with an idea late last night. I am not totally satisfied, but I am posting it anyway because a friend of our family passed away last night and I just dont seem to be able to focus on much today. Since I dont have any Regal Rose ink, I decided to paper piece the Peony, which is designed by the super talented Kim Teasdale , using the Regal Rose dsp from the 6x6 stampin up dsp pack. I watercolored using a Sage Shadow marker, and sponged the More Mustard ink around the masked Peony. Thanks for stopping by and for your sweet comments.
Here are the details:
Stamps: Peony by Kim Teasdale (clear dollar stamps)
Ink: Sage Shadow, More Mustard, Stazon Jet Black
Paper: Sage Shadow, Regal Rose, Watercolor Paper, More Mustard
Accessories: Dew Drops
Technique: Paper Piecing, Sponging

I really love this! The colors are fantastic!
Hi Christi, I think your card is great. You did a great job coloring the peony! I also like how you made the paper strips look like ribbon and the use of the dew drops on them. Keep up the great work! I'm sorry about your loss and you are on my mind.
Very pretty, Christi, I love that you paper pieced the flower petals. Great job as always.
Love the flower paper pieced like that, so pretty. So sorry for you loss...prayers and hugs to you. If you need/want to chat let me know:)
